A few words about abuse

Abuse. I don’t tolerate it and you should not either. If you find yourself in an abusive relationship, whether you are causing or a victim of the abuse, get help immediately. Please note that I am not a licensed counselor trained or equipped to help individuals or couples who are in an abusive situation.

Here are examples of abusive situations for which you must seek professional help, and must do so before I work with you (and regardless of whether I work with you):

1.       Being physically hurt by your partner or another person

2.       Physically hurting your partner or another

3.       Faking physical harm to set the other person up for being accused of physical abuse

4.       Threats of physical harm towards you, or you towards another

5.       Threats of physical harm towards someone you know as a way to try to control you, or from you towards another

6.       Continual verbal abuse towards you, or from you towards another

7.       Continual emotional abuse towards you, or from you towards another

This is not an inclusive list. If you are unsure whether any of the above relate to you or if you feel that you may be part of a different type of abuse, please seek professional help immediately.
